Why we need this blog!!

Its time to run this GM out of town. I know he works hard (not hard enough, apparently), but this roster is not complete and its time for his record be exposed.

Current Roster:
3 LF: Soriano, Floyd, Murton, You can throw Jones in there too.
1 CF: Pagan?
2 2B: Derosa, Theriot
2 No Hit SS: Cedeno (now in AAA), Izturis
Starting LH Bats: Izturis (Swith), Jones

Hendry tried to cover up his deficiences this year, by spending cash, the tribune finally decided he could spend (because they are selling the team and won't have to pay).

The last 2 years the Cubs have wasted money year and year after busters, and I know you can always blame the Tribune, but the GM has to deal with the hand he is dealt.

2005:
Nomar ($9m)
Burnitz ($4.5m)

2006:
Pierre ($7m, and Ricky Nolasco-Traded)
Jacque Jones (16m for 3 years, now cannot get rid of him)
Neifi Perez (2.5m (luckily he got the tigers to take him))
Glendon Rusch (6m for 2 Years-Do I have to even comment?)

We should have had Beltran and Furcal the last 2 years in Free Agency, but he couldnt convince the management to spend the cash or couldnt close the deals. He had Furcal signed, but let the dodgers swoop in and steal him away.

I like Soriano, but who would you rather have? Beltran at 28 in 05 for 7 years or Soriano at 31 in 07 for 8 years!!

Our lineup should be:

Furcal
Theriot/Derosa
Beltran
DLee
Aram/Derosa
Murton
Pie (RF)/Pagan
Barret/Blanco

Now thats a decent lineup, with 2 switch hitters.

No Jacque Jones or Izturis.

With a lineup like this you can develop players like Pie, cause you dont need him to be a stud right away.

I could go on and on, but I digress. I'll continue to prove my points on this blog.

Wait till you see the draft results!!
